Q: What is the deadline to submit a member session proposal?

A: The call for member session proposals is now closed. This deadline will not be extended.

 

Q: What is the deadline to submit a partner session proposal?

A: Convention partners and sponsors may submit their workshop and session proposals starting May 13, 2022 through June 10, 2022. Existing partners will receive access information for the portal via email notification from programming@nabj.org in the coming weeks. If you would like to sponsor or partner with us for sessions or workshops contact: fsigers@nabj.org.

Q: How can I apply for the NABJ Awards?

A: Nominations are now open for NABJ’s 2022 Awards. Nominations for Salute to Excellence, Hall of Fame and Special Honors will be accepted until May 31, 2022. The deadline will not be extended.
 

 

Q: Who selects the NABJ Hall of Fame recipients?

A: The NABJ Hall of Fame recipients are selected by the Hall of Fame Committee.

 

Q: Where are awards distributed?

A: The awards will be announced and distributed at our annual convention in Las Vegas.

 

Q: How do I purchase NAHJ tickets to the award events?

A: NAHJ registrants should be able to purchase their tickets for the NAHJ Hall of Fame Gala through the registration form.

 

Q: How can I nominate for the NAHJ Hall of Fame?
A: NAHJ members will be able to submit their nominations through NAHJ’s membership portal through this LINK. The nomination application deadline is May 13, 2022.

 

Q: Who selects the NAHJ Hall of Fame recipients?

A: Board members that are part of the Hall of Fame Committee will decide on the Hall of Fame recipients.

Q: How do I register for #NABJNAHJ22?
A: First, you must upload your vaccination information via our partners at CLEAR. Click HERE to begin that process in order to register for #NABJNAHJ22. Note: You cannot pay for registration until you complete the vaccination verification process.

Q: Do you offer any career fair access only registrations?

A: No, we do not offer career fair access only registration. We do offer daily convention registration. Please visit HERE to review the rates and deadlines.

 

Q: How do I cancel my #NABJNAHJ22 registration?

A: All registration cancellation requests must be made by July 1, 2022.

Q: Do you have any active promos or discounts to attend the convention?

A: Yes, offer registration early bird discounts for current members to attend the convention.

 

Q: Can I transfer my #NABJNAHJ22 registration to someone else?

A: Yes, you can transfer your registration by July 1, 2022. Click HERE to review the requirements and submit your transfer request for NABJ. NAHJ members CLICK HERE.

 

Q: Where do I pick up my registration materials onsite?

A: You will need to pick up your name badge along with convention materials when you arrive at the host hotel. Your name badge serves as entry to all convention functions except invitation only events. The #NABJNAHJ22 registration desk is located in the Caesars Palace Las Vegas Hotel & Casino.

Special Events

 

Q: How do I purchase a special event ticket, if I’m already registered?
A: To purchase special event ticket(s), please use the NABJ22 Convention and Career Fair Attendee Access Center (ASC). The ASC is your one-stop-shop resource to all things regarding your convention registration. From the ASC 's registration menu you are able to do the following:

 

• Register an additional guest

• Purchase special event tickets

• Pay outstanding balances

 

Log into the ASC, using the registration access information located in your registration confirmation letter below. Once logged into the system, click "Registration Fee Update" to add tickets.

 

NAHJ members should contact membership@nahj.org to register for NAHJ events if they are already registered.

 

Career Fair

A: No, we do not offer any vendor/sales booths at the career fair. The career fair is strictly for career recruitment, networking and exhibiting business & services.

Q: What is the headquarters hotel for #NABJNAHJ22?
A: The headquarters hotel for #NABJNAHJ22 is Caesars Palace Las Vegas Hotel & Casino. The address is 3570 Las Vegas Boulevard South, Las Vegas, NV 89109.

 

Q: How much is the convention rate?

A: The #NABJNAHJ22 discounted standard room rate is $159 + 13.38% tax. In order to be guaranteed the group rate of $159, all room reservations must be made on or before Friday, July 8, 2022 Cut-Off Date. After the Cut-Off Date the Hotel will determine whether or not it can accept reservations based on a space and rate available basis at the NABJNAHJ group rate.
 

Q: Is a deposit required for reservations?

A: Upon booking your reservation, your credit card will be charged a deposit equal to the first night's room and tax.

 

Q: What is the hotel cancellation policy?

A: The hotel requires a 72-hour cancellation policy prior to the arrival date and the guest may then cancel the reservation with no penalties. However, if the reservation is canceled less than 72 hours prior to arrival date, the guest will forfeit their deposit of the 1st night's room and tax. When booked within 3 days, cancellations will be allowed, but the guest will forfeit the 1st night's room and tax deposit.

 

Q: Do you have a roommate-matching list?

A: No, we do not offer roommate-matching services.

 

Q: What are the hotel parking fees?

A: Valet and self-parking available, contact the hotel directly for the rates.

 

Q: Do you offer any discounts for travel?

A: No, we do not offer any travel discounts.

 

COVID Policies

Q: What happens if I don’t submit my vaccination information to CLEAR before registering?

A: If you registered without submitting your vaccination information, you will be contacted by the NABJ/NAHJ staff to make sure you’re in compliance with this requirement. If you fail to be in compliance you will not be allowed entry at any conference event. No refunds will be given to those who show up without proof of vaccinations and boosters.

 

Q: Would we be asked to wear masks inside the hotel?
A: Yes, we will be following CDC, federal, state and local guidelines, recommendations, policies, and mandates regarding COVID-related protocols at the time of the convention.

A: No, volunteers are expected to work the convention and not attend the programming and events. Only paid registrants can attend the #NABJNAHJ22 programming and events.
